Fruita Gravel Camp

Fruita GRAVEL CAMP (ladies only!)

This is a great opportunity to enjoy some late season fitness and explore the gravel/dirt roads in Mesa County, CO. The FORM crew will take care of the support and the route finding, so participants can simply focus on riding their bikes and enjoying some of the most iconic gravel roads on the Western Slope. Routes will explore The Bookcliffs Region and surrounding area. Our purpose is to get female riders more comfortable on mixed surface and more familiar with the gravel scene in general.

November 8th - 10th, 2024

Arrive in Fruita by 2:00 p.m. on Friday the 8th.

Camp will wrap up around noon on Sunday the 10th.

Full Ride Support, Guided rides with full support from a follow vehicle each day. Lunch is included, which we will enjoy out on the ride.

Professional experience and expertise, Jake Wells has over 10 years of experience as a professional racer, is a seven time National Champion and has completed many of the top gravel races in the country, including the Unbound Gravel 200, The XL 350, Leadville 100 and SBT GRVL. He is a full-time Endurance Coach and Personal Trainer and has helped dozens of athletes in preparation for their 'bucket list' riding events.

Meals - We will provide post ride meals on Friday and Sunday and on the bike nutrition. All other meals will be the responsibility of the rider.

What you’re responsible for:

Lodging - Staff will be staying at an Air BnB in Downtown Fruita. Feel free to find the lodging option of your choice near Fruita.

Meals - All pre ride meals and dinner Saturday night. (We plan on eating dinner as a group at Taco Party in Grand Junction).

What to bring:

A gravel bike with 36mm tires or larger is recommended. This is a mixed surface camp. We will be riding mostly gravel/dirt roads. Road bike and Mountain Bikes won’t work.

Your Riding Kit - Jersey, Bibs/Shorts, Helmet, Glasses, Gloves etc. It’s Fruita in November, so bring warm weather gear, cold weather riding gear, and prepare for potential rain. You can’t control the weather but you can control how comfortable you are when you’re riding in it.

One of the benefits of having a follow car is that you can stash extra clothing options for ‘just in case’ so better to have it and not need it…
